Ask any parent and they’ll tell you about the overwhelming love and joy that children bring to your life. If they’re honest, they’ll also tell you about all the other things they bring – like mess and clutter. 

Having always preferred modern, understated style, once I became a mother I realised there weren’t many baby products that catered to this aesthetic. I found myself constantly compromising – buying products for my son that clashed with my interiors and cluttered our home. I’d say to myself, “I don’t love it, but it’ll do” or “I can just hide it away when we have people over.” 

I quickly realised that our environment has a profound impact on our mood and overall wellbeing, and not only were those loud, bright items not serving me, they weren’t serving my baby either. I was stressed out by the clutter and my baby was overstimulated. I no longer felt pride in my home, and speaking with other parents I realised they shared the same struggles when shopping for their children. 

With a degree in Fashion Design and more than 15 years’ experience designing for fashion labels in Europe, New York and Australia, I decided to turn my design skills to children’s homewares – creating pieces that cater to both kids and parents, so they can enjoy their home together. 

I launched The Muse Edition in 2021 with a range of baby play mats and continue to add more pieces to suit the needs of growing children. In addition to our play mats, we now stock linen pram liners and linen travel change mats, and regularly introduce new products to the range. 

The purpose of The Muse Edition is to help you create a calm, comforting space that your family can enjoy together. Because when we invest in clean, modern design, we create space in our home to spend precious time with our children and loved ones – and what parent doesn’t want that?
